IES FORUMS, all the fun of ElitistJerks.com but with none of that pesky knowledge.

PvP Retri? - No idea - think there are loads of variations for ret pallies in pvp - just pick a spec.
Hybrids? - Why? No viable specs.

Was about to say that was even less helpful than my post until I realised that the red letters were clickable Smile

Could work and was considering trying it a while back, but changed my mind. Try it and tell us what you think

tested this for levelling purposes (we call that solo PvE in the theorycraft forums), and i cant say i recommend it. being hit roughly 2.3 times by each mobs in 1v1 meaning i'll only the proc on every 4th'ish mob, and only being able to spend 1 extra attack on that mob - then i have to pull or run to the next mob wasting the uptime of the buff only being able to deal one or none xtra attacks on that mob. meaning for every 4 mob cycle, ill deliver 1.5 xtra attacks wheres i deliver 4 xtra attacks with divine storm dealing 120% dmg as it is.

Divine Storm did 13% of my damage with normal retri build (the dot from crits did 1.7%)

whereas reckonning "only" increased my white dmg with "8%" + some increased survivabillity from filler points to reach reckonning.

for long PvP matches it might be more viable - but so far i dont recommend it. also it gets boring with one less push-to-kill ability.

Seal twisting ftw, my DPS jumped from 1.9k to 2.6k (only a shoulder item replaced) - just by implimenting some twisting of seals. awesome! thank you EJs!

note: it does put additional strain on my already weak mana pool, but u can drop the twisting when u go below 10% mana and level out ur DPM so u wont run out entirely.

Need help with a pala mechanics question:

I keep seeing pala tanks casting exorcism, very often and across many different players. Do prot palas have a special mechanic that allows them to dodge/parry/block while casting or (as I suspect) is everyone I see a shithead?

They're shitheads - if anything exorcism should only be used when pulling afaik

Edit: Only tanks who are allowed to cast anything while tanking are DKs casting AotD

Elistist Jerks wrote:
Exorcism (Exo): Very good threat against one mob at range, at a moderate mana cost. Exorcism is a great tool for getting the attention of a single mob, either when Avenger's Shield is on cooldown, or when the secondary effects of AS are undesirable. Exorcism always crits against demons and undead.

The Sanctity of Battle Talent increases damage from Exorcism by up to 15 percent.

As of the 3.2 patch, Exorcism is no longer instant-cast, but takes 1.5 seconds to cast. This reduces its usefulness somewhat, mainly in situations where you'd like to build threat on a ranged target while taking melee damage from other mobs

Only for certain difficult pulls. The palas u saw were indeed idiots.

Thanks mate.

Was in a Naxx 25 pug where the 3 pala tanks all used it non stop, especially fun on Patch. I did ask them about it but only response was "your a druid".

Same pug where I ended up with 50% of all healing between 5 healers. Was an 80% guild run, an officer died 8 times on frogger so it was worth every moment for the laughs.
