| Meta-imp-firespec.
I'm wondering if this might be farfetched or if it could actually work? Any ideas?

| yeah, it seems PvP'ers are going for Haunt-Soul-link builds these days - but the build was thought for PvE dps - i know its not honed for uber superiority, but the idea was to raid with an alternative, yet viable, spec.
my version of the Haunt/Soul-Link spec
a Meta-pvp spec or deep demo with soul siphon and Curse of Exhaustion

| revised spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IZ0xIzsgMq0stuVoy0hqM
changes: focus on felguard instaed of imp, and SB spam instead of fire rotation without the deep destruction-tree fire abilities.

| I have almost the same spec on Zomb atm, though I shifted Metamorph for 5% Destro crit, seing so much of my dps comes from SBs. And I dont have to go all medieval on bosses . | |

| My Current Primary Spec (Deep Destro Fun)
This build would also be relatively okay for a DPS builds for heroics or similar.
Having tried it in a BG or two now its very glass cannon'ish, and im really liking it. I'm being eaten alive by anything remotelty melee (that includes soabDKs), but if im allowed even a few seconds nuke i can out-damage even suckers with a healer trying to keep them alive - but im uncertain if i should go affliction haunt-fun for my secondary telentbuild or if i should aim for demo-survivability? Any suggestions to either of my specs is most welcome.
also, WTB Glyph of Incenerate, Immolate and Conflagrate.

also, WTB Glyph of Incenerate, Immolate and Conflagrate. Congratulations on level 80 mate. See me in game for the glyphs and gear and enchants and ponies. Destro feckers do have some insane nukage now but since you're cloth it comes at the cost of being a free HK to anything with > 1000 AP. Freakin' no skill melee bawbags So glad that Nether Protection got nerfed to 30% at least so I can try to outnuke locks before they can use Chaos Bolt after a CS. So annoying that I can have 130 fire resist, fire ward, mana shield and ice barrier up but they still do nothing. Have to resort to the old fashioned blink behind them just before cast finishes now. Shouldnt be complaining since I kill most locks now unlike TBC where I had no hope against them if a fel hunter was out (I once lost a 3 minute duel with a felhunter ) Will be fun to BG together as high nukage glass cannon specs, we could specialise in killing healers and dieing in 2 gcds to a rogue. No idea about your pvp spec, havent seen a meta lock in BGs for a long time, mostly it's either haunt or Chaos Bolt builds. I could be wrong and BGs =/= arena or intelligent pvp. Go with what you enjoy playing but you 100% need a pure pvp build to have any chance of living longer than 3 seconds. I'm also in for a few heroics if you want.

| Destro PvP spec This is a spec I would like to try with Imperaton but probably wont, most mage like play style with a little more survival. Mostly for BGs and Fel Dom/Master Summoner are because Succubus is squishy | |

| Seems like a nice spec, what glyphs would you use with it?
Luth and I almost got killed by a couple of locks yesterday, they hit hard (destro + affli). Luckily sacrifice can be stolen and I learned to hug walls. Get the feeling Luth mocks me for constantly finishing fights with no visible health left though, MAGES ARE SQUISHY!

| I'm not sure what glyphs i'd take for either spec yet, haven't have time to review all the new ones or consider the old ones. But as i said, i think the destro build will be my primary build for PvP'ing - a secondary spec is mostly so i can surprise repeatedly faught teams in arena. And ofc for general variation of my gaming experience. Edit: as u can tell im at a computer with no wow and a lot of time on my hands so im cruising lock forums and trying out talent variations a lot today | |

Without any points in Bane you will be shadowbolting a lot less, the points in Decimation might be better spent elsewhere because of this (3/3 Demonic knowledge + 5/5 Shadow Mastery?). With another 10-15 points this spec would own. I always hated having to keep the felguard away from me so it was ready to intercept any melee, any chance they added AI to make him run out then intercept if too close? edit: Forgot that this gives you all the talents needed for voidwalker usage as well, nice 10k shield every minute if needed.

| Casters in general suck in pvp. Not just because of class mechanics but because anyone remotely serious about pvp has rolled melee or healer. Most of the mages/locks you see in BGs are pve rejects who want to stand still and cast slow nukes while you stand next to a wall. At least playing melee is more forgiving to retards as they dont die in a picosecond.
If you see a brilliant mage/lock/boomkin top the charts in a BG you know 100% that they could do the same or better with a melee (OP) class. Same cant be said for a ret/dk/rogue who can faceroll through fights without any danger. This isnt a dig at Luth (like most of my posts) it just means that average skill caster gets owned by average skill melee, you need to outskill people to have a chance as a caster although it does even out slightly at higher skill levels.
I complain about this a lot but it's probably the only reason I keep playing, killing the rogue/DK/tree/disc that outgears you and is only used to seeing normal mages makes me smile. I want them to die inside a little until eventually all that's left is the shell of a quasi human that initially wanted to play a class with everything in the first place.
TLDR: psychotic gnome hates everyone and wants torturous revenge on all for imagined insults and idiocy. Always comes down to the same thing - Killing is THE answer (not 42)
