Guild rules Empty
PostSubject: Guild rules   Guild rules EmptyWed Sep 24, 2008 2:57 pm

General:
Incursio Ergo Sum is a raiding guild on Daggerspine EU. The guild was formed on the 7th September 2008 by in-game friends that wanted to have a good time together through raiding. The goal of the guild is to achieve maximum progress in 10-man raiding with a 4-day raid schedule while having a good time.

Guild Structure:
The leadership of the guild consists of 1 Guild Master and 2 Officers all with equal say on all matters, but each with the responsibility of different areas.
The rest of the guild is divided into Raiders (the regular members of the guild), Alts and Trialists.

When a Guild Master retires one of the officers is appointed Guild Master if they so desire. If none of the officers wish to become Guild Master a new leader will be chosen from among the raiders. All the Guild Master's responsibilities are placed on one of the officers until a new Guild Master has been found
When officers retire a similar procedure is used.

Social:
If you have a problem with any member then please talk to an officer and see if they can resolve it before you try to deal with it yourself. Happy members is in everyone's interest and we'll do what we can to achieve this. Having people in the same raid as you on ignore is not accepted during the raid.

Members of IES are expected to conduct themselves responsibly at all times since their behaviour reflects upon the guild. Any breach of the Blizzard EULA, deliberate attempts to defraud or cheat other players, extreme unsocial behaviour or other malevolent acts will lead to your membership status being reviewed.

When joining the IES community you agree to mock Tepisor at any given opportunity.

Raiding:
Attendance:
The guild has 4 scheduled raids each week: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. All raiders are required to attend at least two of these raids on average.

We use the ingame calender by blizzard to organize raids. When you are signed for an event, but not
picked out to the raid cause of too many signups, you get benched. When you are benched you get attendance and base EP, 12 per ½ hour. So when benched you WONT get EP for new boss kills. (read more about EPGP below).

We want to know if you can raid or not. To encourage people to answer as soon as they can, we will 'award' 50 GP (this is bad) to people who havent stated wether they come or not at 18:00 at the raid day. We will also log the event at 18 which means you're unable to signup/signoff after this time. GP is also awarded to players that sign up and don't meet up at raid start.

Players are not allowed to join any other raids than guild runs except in the following situations:
- It's a 25man raid and IES hasn't begun clearing 25mans
- The instance in question has already been cleared by IES the given week
- The instance has not been cleared by IES, but there's no raid days left in the week for IES to clear it
- Explicit permission given by an officer
- It's not a scheduled raid instance anymore in IES

If you're in doubt, ask an officer!

Consumables:
When attending a raid everyone must bring enough of the following consumables to cover a full night of wipes:
• Reagents for All your spells
• Healing Potions
• Mana Potions (if you're a mana user)
• Scrolls of Stamina (priests will not always be present)
• Elixirs / Flasks (whichever gives you the bigger boost, not whichever is cheapest)
• Food
• Mana Oils / Sharpening Stones / etc
Any additional consumables not mentioned here that are useful to your class are expected to be brought and used as well.

Tactics:
When raiding, every raider is expected to know her role well and fulfil it satisfyingly. If it’s the first time you try an encounter you are expected to read the tactics posted on the forum and know the information it contains well enough to be able to fill the role you are expected to without many further instructions. This is to ensure smoother raids with fewer breaks due to tactics being explained which in turn will result in happier raiders and more progress.

Talent Specs:
When invited to a raid you must be specced for optimal raid performance. There is no room for PvP specs in our raids and there’s a zero tolerance policy on this matter. If a raider fails to meet this requirement a replacement will be found. If it’s not a first time offence more drastic steps may be taken in order to prevent such behaviour in the future.
The guild will not pay for any respeccing. If a person wants to PvP with a different build than the one used in raids she will have to finance it herself. Additionally the guild will not pay for any repair bills or for consumables for the raiders.

Mains, Alts and Trialists:
All raiders must have 1 raid ready character (their main). Additionally raiders are very much encouraged to have at least 1 raid ready alt filling another roll than their main. This is to ensure maximum flexibility in raids.
Trialists are expected to fully fulfil the role of a raider in any aspect. If they are unable to meet this requirement they will not receive membership at the end of their trial. A trial will usually last 3 weeks, but it can differ from trialist to trialist.

Voice Communication:
During raids the guild will be using Ventrilo for communication. The server information can be found on the forum or in the Guild Info tab in-game.

Loot Distribution:
When it comes to sorting loot a system called EPGP will be used. When attending a raid, a raider will receive Effort Points (EP) for every 30 minutes attended. If you go afk you will not gain EP for those 30 mins. EP will also be rewarded on boss kills and tries depending on their status (farm or progress). More tries will award more EP. Progress bosses will reward more EP than farm bosses. A boss is considered farm when it has been killed 3 times.
When looting items the raider will receive Gear Points (GP) depending on the quality of the item looted. EP and GP will decay over time to prevent points hoarding. To be eligible to loot you have to reach a minimum EP. When deciding who has priority on a piece of loot, the following formula is used to calculate the Priority Rating (PR) for each member:
Priority Rating = Effort Points / Gear Points

The raider with the highest Priority Rating that is interested in the item will win it.

When attending raids on an alt you will still receive EP and they will be placed in the same pool as your main’s EP. Alts will only be able to loot items that no raiders or trialists need for their main spec. Due to this limitation, alts do not get GPs for the loot they take which essentially means that it’s free. This is to ensure that alts are geared up instead of hoarding PR for your main. If no alts want an item, main characters can bid on it for offspec purposes. If still no one wants it, alts can do the same. If there is still no receiver, the item will be disenchanted. This way we should ensure maximum use of the items that drop.
Priority order:

  1. Raiders (main spec)
  2. Trialists (main spec)
  3. Alts (main spec)
  4. Raiders (off spec)
  5. Trialists (off spec)
  6. Alts (off spec)
Addons:
A number of addons are required to be installed on your computer when participating in a raid. The full list can be found here.
